Types of isosceles triangles There are a few different types of isosceles triangles. The altitude drawn from the vertex angle to the base divides an isosceles triangle into two congruent right triangles. l1 (b) Here, the given triangle is an isosceles triangle and its line. Side opposite the vertex angle is the base. In right triangle ABC, lets construct a line CD, that splits the right angle ACB into 2 angles, ACD and DCB, such that DCBDBC, and call that angle. It is a type of special isosceles triangle where one interior angle is a right angle and the remaining two angles are thus congruent since the angles opposite to the equal sides are equal. Checking the “Shared with Me” tab doesn’t do anything, trying the process over again doesn’t do anything, and nor does completely closing the App Store or Google Sheets app then starting the process over again do anything. It takes me back to the app store, where I then have to press “open”, and opens up to the Google Sheets app, but the sheets I would be trying to edit wouldn’t automatically come up. And even when I already have it downloaded, I still have to press the only “accept” button on that pop-up, which says “get the app”. Whenever I try to edit a spreadsheet for something like signing up, there’s always an annoying pop-up that says I need to download the app in order to edit at all. I try to go as mobile as possible, because opening up a computer all the time sometimes is just too much of a hassle or takes way too much time for something that should be done so quickly, such as signing up for a meeting time. If you are able avoid Google Sheets and all other Google apps to avoid getting trapped in their ecosystem, especially if you plan to try and use your IPAD as a main work device. If the only reason a user continues to use an app is being locked into the ecosystem, it is not a good app. With an app this unfinished I would look to Excel or Apple’s Numbers as alternatives if my work didn’t rely on GSuite for the sharing functionality. These are just the broken or missing features that have interrupted my workflow today, I am sure that more will occur in the future. The most recent examples include freezing vertical columns doing the opposite of the intended function, the complete lack of in cell text formatting, the lack of advanced sorting features and the inability to open two windows of google sheets at the same time. It leads to the essential question of why even have an app if it will be missing so many core features and have many more that are broken or flawed. As such Google Sheets for IPAD may work fine for you but for my job and how I use it I spend more time hitting roadblocks and having to open my computer to accomplish tasks than I should. See also Edwardian Script Font License Info This typeface is not an open-source font, thus there are two versions available: one is paid for, and the other is free. The Georgia font was first introduced with the release of Windows 95, and it quickly became a widely used font for digital content, including web pages and e-books. Carter, a well-known typeface designer, was asked to create a new font that was legible on computer screens, as at that time most of the typefaces designed for print were not legible on low-resolution computer screens.Ĭarter’s design process for the Georgia font included creating a font that was designed specifically for screen use, with larger x-heights and wider proportions than traditional serif fonts, making the characters more legible on screens. The Georgia font was designed by Matthew Carter in 1993, as a commission of Microsoft. Only when you have stupid designs like my forms. Here is a basic information table of the Georgia font: Property Most of the time this doesn’t matter one bit. Verdana and Georgia are larger in x-height (and also width or kerning) at the same em size than other fonts. Esp when sizing things like labels in “em” when your font is also so sized. Though the problem merely is, large fonts wrap and small ones don’t. If I start out with Georgia, or Verdana, I need to have all large fonts in my list (which I can still not guarantee people have). I didn’t design the forms, and other than manually ing them, the size of the font (not the size of the letters, text-enlarge doesn’t break) really makes a big difference in when a line wraps. But I think that’s some Gecko problem, Opera is consistent. Also testing in Gecko in the Gnome windowing system will have absolutely nothing to do with that same Gecko rendering engine on a Windows OS, or even KDE for Linux. If I choose to size things with a large font, going to another font means I have smaller letters and then things that wrapped no longer do. Using a large font means I have to stay with a large font. dpi), replace Lucida Console with your preferred fonts without adjusting the font size. Once you’ve got a good width set up for your layout in all modern layout engines at normal and “large” fonts (96/120 or 75/100. Try using Lucida Console to test your fonts in, Stomme. What else are Linux users supposed to get? Yours doesn’t count, 'cuz you’re using Lucida Sans Unicode This made me sad, and I cried quietly in my little corner. The guy who controls the design though made me change backto Times New Roman wherever there were numbers because he didn’t like the “number drop” of georgia. I’ve tried making Georgia the major font of a particular page I’ve been working on because I like it. And since I haven’t found the magic formula to make inputs stay at the bottom of the labels, this is bad. My forms I realised are too dependent on the font size, and switching between Arial and Verdana (and I prefer Verdana because EYE != ELL) would be the difference between my labels staying in one line and wrapping. If your whole page is sized in em’s then you’ll see quite a difference between the fonts (and the sizes of everything). Same problem with Verdana vs other sans-serifs. Setting something like “georgia, times, “times new roman”, serif ” means there will be a font difference between those with and those without Georgia as well as a size difference. So long as she mentions the issue that Georgia is a hair larger than her Serif friends.
Most sales reps had wound up resorting to free mapping softwares like Google Maps and manually entering each data point themselves. We knew that when Streets and Trips vanished, enterprises and businesses had no suitable alternative. Yes - in 2016 we built Map My Customers to replicate the best of what Streets and Trips had to offer, while adding in modern features that make it mobile-friendly and super insightful. Is There a Microsoft Streets and Trips Replacement? Bing Maps was not a direct replacement and was inherently a consumer product. In doing so, they lost sight of the enterprise market that used Streets and Trips for sales. In the end, Streets and Trips released a goodbye message urging their customers to use Bing Maps instead. It was Microsoft’s hope that Bing Maps would eventually compete with Google Maps, but that hasn’t exactly panned out so far. Microsoft Streets and Trips was discontinued as part of Microsoft’s concerted effort to invest their resources into Bing, a web search engine meant to rival Google. Is Microsoft Streets and Trips Still Available? It provided a comprehensive solution that offered territory creation, route optimization, management efficiency, and territory mapping - effectively revolutionizing the sales industry.īut in 2013, Microsoft chose to discontinue the product and then in 2015, it ended its Streets and Trips support lines. This combination of business data and route optimization was a success within sales departments. The software would identify roads that were under construction and provide information on how to avoid them. The most impressive feature was Streets and Trips’ ability to update route information in real time. With an extremely user-friendly interface for its time, Microsoft Streets and Trips featured ground-breaking technology that contained more than six million miles of map. In later versions, it introduced features we are familiar with like weather considerations, traffic monitoring and construction updates. Now discontinued, it was a computer program that mapped out streets, businesses and places of interest - as well as displayed pins on a map and built multi-stop routes from place to place. Microsoft Streets and Trips was a mapping and routing program that helped lay the foundation for personal GPS systems. ġ4 years later, it suddenly disappeared from the market. In the late 90s, it was acquired by Microsoft and distributed in North America as Streets and Trips in 2000. Massively popular, it was eventually downloaded by half of the computers in the UK. This not just revolutionized personal navigation - it transformed the way industries like field sales operated.īut before Waze, Google Maps, and even TomTom existed - there were five friends from Surrey, England that built an overnight success software called Autoroute. With the introduction of MapQuest in 1996, online personal mapping slowly became accessible to the public. It’s 2022 and nearly everyone has access to a personal GPS on their mobile device - but let’s not forget that digital maps are a recent invention. |
